Jenna Fischer's most famous role was as Pam Beesly from the popular television show The Office. To honor the significance of her work, she was awarded the Emmy award for Outstanding Actress in the Supporting Role. In addition, she won two SAG Awards.
Her birthplace and childhood was within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was a child who watched her mother Anne performing in church plays. It instilled in her an interest in theater.
She's a trained actress who returned to theater after The Office. The Off-Broadway production of Reasons to Be Happy was written and directed Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. In the following play, she was in Steve Martin's new production Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg and ran for record-breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer launched Office Ladies, a podcast hosted by Earwolf in October 2019. The podcast has been an enormous success, making the Top Ten worldwide every week, and receiving more than 200 million downloads in the first two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year Award in January 2021.
She is the writer of two books, The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide that describes her journey to St. Louis to Hollywood and her journey to becoming a successful actor. She is also the author of Office BFF's: Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends who were there (co-authored together with Angela Kinsey) The book is the story of their greatest friendship as well as their work on The Office.
