Richard B. Cheney has served as a public servant over a number of years, and also is an entrepreneur who has made a name for himself. Cheney is currently Vice President of the United States. Cheney has become a regular face on the Washington political landscape and has been under various U.S. presidents George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush. He will serve as the fourth vice president, and is the elected president. Bush has nominated Cheney to be his vice president running mate in July 2000. Bush cited Cheney's wisdom judgement, experience, and judgment. Dick Cheney is a former Chief of Staff of the President. He also was a member of Congress as well as also secretary of Defense. He is an honest man, who has the respect of both Republicans and Democrats. Cheney stated that his role in the Bush administration will be that of a transparent but disinterested adviser. Cheney declared his delight at taking the Republican vice-presidential nod. He stated that Cheney is eager to work with a leader who can be a team player with individuals of differing political opinions and who share common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the father of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. After 13 years of age, old, he emigrated together with family members from Nebraska to Casper located in western region of Wyoming, where his father ran the local soil conservation district to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
